MESA AZ 04/22
@oplightningrugby and @atomicsistersrugby went at it for regional playoffs.
It was an intense match with 2 very talented teams .
We caught up with the @oplightningrugby head coach after the game and chatted a bit about the game and team strategy .
This is what coach Quay @mwquay had to say :
The Atomic Sisters are a tough and talented team, so we knew it was going to be a hard match. We wanted to come out quick and put the first points up, which we were able to do. We continued to put together multiple phases, but Albuquerque really controlled the first half. We went into half down 13-10.
We made some halftime adjustments and scored two quick tries and conversions. Our forwards were able to control our inside game while our backline attacked out wide. Our centers were able to make great line breaks and then offload, which ended up in our Fullback @margaux_310 Margaux Rolland scoring 5 tries on the day. We won the match 28-41. Everyone did what they needed to do and it was a great team victory.
The @oplightningrugby team will advance to national play offs .
