The Red Mountain Warthogs are back on the field, kicking off preparations for a fall season that promises plenty of hard-hitting rugby and competitive matchups. Head Coach Bill Elrey set the tone at the first practice, telling the team, "It’s time to work, it’s time to build." With their eyes set on a busy schedule, the Warthogs are ready to bring their best.

Here’s a look at the key dates this fall:

  • GCU at GCU – Saturday, Sept. 28th, 12:00 PM kick-off

  • ASU at ASU – Friday, Oct. 4th, 8:45 PM kick-off

  • Belmont Shore – Saturday, Oct. 26th, 4:00 PM kick-off at Fiesta Sports Complex, Mesa

Club President Chris Sunderhaus is eager for the season to get underway. "We’ve done a lot of good things here, and the energy is high. We’re lucky to have such a great group of players and solid support behind us. This fall is all about enjoying rugby and competing hard."

The team will practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Fiesta Sports Complex, Mesa, fine-tuning their game plan and getting ready for some competitive matches. The Warthogs are focused on playing hard, having a good time, and making the most of every game day this fall.

With match ups against local rivals like GCU and ASU, and a big test against Belmont Shore, fans can expect plenty of intense rugby action. Make sure to head out to the field to catch the Warthogs in action!
